Q: What supplements do you take?
A: Supplements that I use and recommend include Shakeology, the Recovery Formula, E&E Formula (Energy & Endurance Pre-workout supplement) for cardio days, ActiVit Metabolism Vitamins
Q: What do you think of Shakeology?
A: I use Chocolate Shakeology everyday, either as a snack or replacement meal. It tastes great! I have used many protein shakes or health shakes in the past that did not taste half as good as this. I feel great using it and I know I could not possibly eat all of the fruit and veggies that it contains in one day, let alone one meal!
Q. What type of Protein is in Shakeology?
A. The chocolate and Greenberry Shakeology contain Whey Isolate protein. We also have a New Tropical Strawberry Shakeology that is Vegan and contains Brown Rice as the protein source.
Q. “Isn’t $119.95 a lot of money for a protein Shake?”
A. I have heard this question a hundred times! $119.95 can be a lot of money at one time but it’s for a whole month. Above $4.00 per shake. How much does it cost to get a Starbucks or a smoothie at Smoothie King or Robeks? More than $4.00. You can rest assured that you are putting your money to good use…improving your health and not just pure enjoyment of empty calories. There is so much to say about Shakeology that I cannot defend it here, but it is so worth the money. Beachbody also believes it’s valuable because they made a site just for it! Many health benefits, antioxidants and tons of fruit and veggies from around the world. It is all natural! Many doctors are beginning to give it to their patients and have testified on behalf of Shakeology. Q: When should I take whey protein?
A: I recommend taking it once in the morning and right after your workout. If you’re taking the Recovery Formula, then take the whey an hour after you take that.
Q: Will whey protein make me fat?
A: Not at all! Whey protein is very important for muscle building, and the best protein that you can consume!
Q: What if I have an intolerance to Whey Protein?
A: If you are looking to add an extra source of protein to your day and cannot tolerate whey….then Hemp Protein is a great source that I use sometimes.
Q: When do you take the Recovery Formula?
A: You are supposed to take the Recovery Formula directly following the workout. Ideally, within the hour after a workout. If you miss your 1 hour opportunity, I would skip it. It has the right balance of simple carbs and protein (4:1 ratio), and is essential for proper muscle recovery!
Q: What supplements should I take to gain mass?
A: Creatine, whey protein, and the Recovery Formula are a few examples. Gaining mass has a lot to do with the timing of supplements and the proper diet!
