Q: How much does it cost to become a coach?

A: It’s inexpensive to become a coach with an initial $39.95 sign-up fee and then $14.95 per month thereafter. The $14.95 covers your Coach Online Office and the two websites that Beachbody provides you. One is to your online store and the other is a Shakeology website. The Coach Online Office keeps track of your sales, personal volume, team sales, team volume, customers, etc. It  also has a ton of other helpful information including coach calls and training. Military personnel get a huge discount!!

Q: What are the responsibilities of a coach?

A: As a coach, it’s your responsibility to help support and motivate people, and also be there to answer any questions that they might have. And of course: “Be a product of the product”

Q: Is the Beachbody Coaching Opportunity a scam?

A: No, the Beachbody Coaching Opportunity is not a scam! It is a MLM business and not a pyramid scheme. There is real potential to make this a full-time business if one desires. As you build your team, the other coaches that are above you are also building their teams and we all benefit off each other. You will make money off those coaches above you in ranking  and below you.

Q: Do I have to be a good salesperson?

A: Not at all! . If you want to be a successful coach, all you have to do is recommend products that you have used and work for you! Everyone wants to talk about fitness and losing weight.  I feel that Beachbody products are one of the best, if not the best out there. For example, I have seen amazing results from both Shakeology and P90X, so it’s very easy to recommend those products to others because I know they work! The more products you use, the more knowledgeable you will become and will feel comfortable recommending them to others.

Q: How much time do I need to dedicate to be a successful coach?

A: The amount of time you dedicate to coaching is completely up to you! Ideally, if you can devote an hour a day to building this business…it will grow quickly. Some coaches spend more and some less. The more time you have to put into it…the greater the reward.

Q: Do I have to be an expert in fitness?

A: Absolutely NOT! Having a passion for health and fitness and helping others is really all you need. I am able to answer most questions customers ask, but when I can’t I get the answer for them or refer them. Sometimes people will ask if a certain workout is okay if they’ve just had a certain surgery or if Shakeology is okay if they have a certain illness. I am not a doctor and I will not pretend to be…so I refer them back to their doctor.

Q: Do I have to be an American citizen to become a coach?

A: Yes, you must be from the U.S. to become a coach. However, Beachbody is in the process of opening up the opportunity to Canadians.

Q: Do I get a discount for being a coach?

A: Yes! You get 25% off all Beachbody products!  

Q: Do I have to have great results to become a coach?

A: No, but they do help! The most important thing is that you’re committing yourself to a Beachbody program and working on improving your own fitness level. Remember, you can’t give out advice if you aren’t doing it yourself!  Some coaches have had amazing transformations because they lost a lot of weight. As for myself, I just toned up and gained more muscle definition. Everyone’s results will appeal to different people so be proud of the transformation you have and show it off! 

Q: Will I get the proper training as a new coach?

A: Yes! Once you sign up as a coach and start Shakeology, you will become a part of our team! Our top coach on the team Josh Spencer, the 2010 Top Coach in the nation,  has created an EXCELLENT training program that he puts all new coaches in his downline through. You will receive the training program once you sign up! There is also a lot of training on your teambeachbody site that you can go through at your leasure and videos to watch to help with your training.

Q. Do I have to maintain a certain level of sales to remain a coach?

A. No. You don’t have to meet any sales criteria or level but you do have to have 50 PV (point volume) each month for yourself. The 50 PV keep you in ‘Active’ Status.This allows you all the benefits of being a coach. I use Shakeology which is 90 PV but I wanted to be on it anyways and I save a lot of money. If you don’t meet your 50PV to remain active, you will drop into “inactive” but will not lose your ranking or coaching status.
